I am an artist. I have been blessed to craft a life that I love: mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, designer. I approach everything with passion, fortitude, and a good glass of cabernet. I grew up in Syracuse, New York, and am a graduate of Syracuse University. I live in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina with my hubby Matt and our three happy little kids: Mattie, Lizzie, and Jack. Oh, and I can't forget our sweet doggy Norah!

I have been nicknamed "the human exclamation point" (hence the inspiration behind my logo). I do not know any other speed than 100MPH (this includes talking). It is this speed, this zest for life, and the desire to "have it all" that has fueled my path.

The JACK!E™ brand was launched in 2001 when I partnered with Carolina Pad. I was armed with a vision to create a collection of fashion school and office supplies. Little did I know at the time, that my "luscious" print collections, passion, and ability to identify the hottest trends, would single handedly revolutionize the office supply industry, and literally create a new fashion category at retail. It has been one wild ride.

“Jackie’s talent, enthusiasm and spot-on trend analysis helped transform the notebook industry. Her designs invoke delight, passion and appeal to all ages. I am grateful that she took a chance on Carolina Pad so many years ago,” Clay Presley, CEO, Carolina Pad.

In the years since, I have worked with numerous great companies designing everything from beach towels, to bedding, to scrapbooks and most recently fabric! My life is a juggling act with not much sleep, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I have this Nike ad from 1991 taped up in my studio, that pretty much says it all and is my personal mantra:

All your life you are told the things you cannot do.
All your life they will say you're not good enough, or strong enough, or talented enough.
They'll say you are the wrong height or the wrong weight or the wrong type
to play this or to be this or to achieve this.
a thousand times no until all the no's become meaningless.
All your life, they will tell you no,
quite firmly and very quickly. They will tell you no.

I wish you much happiness and success on your own luscious path in life. Who will you tell YES?

With Love from Me to Hue,
